چکیده

CO2 separation plays a vital role in reducing emissions to combat climate change, while the available technologies still face challenges, including high costs and intensive energy usage. It is critical develop an energy-efficient cost-effective technology for separation. Ionic liquid/deep eutectic solvent (IL/DES) has drawn significant attention because they are tunable exhibit thermal stability solubility. The based on IL/DES show their potential reduce cost However, viscosity relatively high.In our work, adding cosolvents was used adjust of IL/DES. A universal framework IL/DES-based hybrid solvents separation, from properties determination, thermodynamic modeling, process design evaluation, been built up. Several DESs/ILs interacted with chemically and/or physically were investigated, aiming gas streams different concentrations (biogas, flue gas). detailed comparison performance terms usage respect conventional provided study feasibility. Our research shows that promising reach aim lowing cost, further improvement needed technological breakthrough.

Micellization of long-chain ionic liquids in deep eutectic solvents.

The aggregation behavior of the ionic liquid (IL) 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride with different alkyl chain lengths in a deep eutectic solvent (DES, composed of choline chloride and glycerol in a 1 : 2 mole ratio) was studied for the first time. The critical micellar concentration, micellar size and intermolecular interactions in IL/DES solutions were investigated by different techniques ...

Solvation dynamics of an ionic probe in choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents.

Solvation of the thiocyanate ion in three different deep eutectic solvents (DES) was investigated by linear FTIR spectroscopy, and Two Dimensional IR spectroscopy. Linear infrared spectroscopy reveals that the thiocyanate ion forms a hydrogen bond through its sulphur atom, while its nitrile end remains free. Photon-echo vibrational spectroscopy shows that the thiocyanate has a frequency-frequen...

Natural deep eutectic solvents: cytotoxic profile

The purpose of this study was to investigate the cytotoxic profiles of different ternary natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs) containing water. For this purpose, five different NADESs were prepared using choline chloride as a salt, alongside five hydrogen bond donors (HBD) namely glucose, fructose, sucrose, glycerol, and malonic acid. Water was added as a tertiary component during the eutect...

Functionalization of graphene using deep eutectic solvents

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have received attention in various applications because of their distinctive properties. In this work, DESs were used as functionalizing agents for graphene due to their potential to introduce new functional groups and cause other surface modifications. Eighteen different types of ammonium- and phosphonium-salt-based DESs were prepared and characterized by FTIR. Th...
